Our Desktop application is a function packed program that allows you to
manage the data captured at the place of service quickly and
effortlessly. It can be used as a companion to the PDA application
or as a stand-alone program in a desktop PC, laptop or tablet. The
design is intuitive and easy to understand. It allows for complex
data management easily. The navigation panel gives users quick
access to frequently used features and helps identify data in need
of updating or completion, such as new patients, diagnosis or
procedures.

Our system exchanges information between the PC and
PDA smoothly, and maximizes the advantages of each machine, allowing
you to generate flexible, complete, and accurate reports ready for
billing. Your information is no longer a prisoner of the PDA and you
are no longer limited to the reporting or printing capabilities of
the Palm. TakeCharge PC unleashes the power of the relational
database to help manage and report your data. TakeCharge is ready
for the solo practitioner or the large medical group. The
application is network ready and can be easily scaled for large work
groups. Even physicians from different practices that share call can
benefit from our system and exchange information for weekend call
and cross-coverage.

Features
Navigation Panel – This panel gives
the user quick access to commonly used information and features.
With a simple click of the mouse, the program finds incomplete
records for newly entered patients, diagnosis or procedures. Even
duplicated entries are easily found and managed with our “merge”
function.
Diagnosis Coding - This is not the typical coding utility with
thousands of useless and confusing codes. Only billable, clinically
relevant diagnosis, are included. The physician selects a diagnosis
described in familiar, clinical terms, and TakeCharge does the rest
at the time of reporting. If a diagnosis is missing, it can be
easily added at the handheld device and then properly coded with the
desktop companion. The diagnosis list will grow with each physician
as they continue to use the system.
Billing Coding - Using the same approach as with diagnostic
codes, the physician is presented with short lists of only
applicable codes described in familiar clinical terms. Evaluation
and Management codes are separated from Procedure codes for ease of
use. The help section describes the Evaluation and Management codes more extensively
to provide the physician with a complete resource guide for
appropriate billing of their services and improve their compliance
with Federal and State regulations.
Medical History Tracking - With a few taps physicians can
easily track Allergies, Past Medical History, and Past Surgical
History for each patient. This added convenience is of tremendous
value when the physician is on call and away from the medical
record, and it is another reason why TakeCharge will make a
difference in any medical practice.
Information Sharing - TakeCharge is designed for individual or
multiple users. As multiple physicians capture patients’ data and
charges, all users readily share the information. This enables the
person on call to have basic information about the patients and
reduces data entry, also eliminating the need to generate sign-out
sheets.
Cross Coverage - For physicians who share call with others
outside their practice TakeCharge can prepare a detailed sign-out
sheet, which can be printed or easily communicated to other
TakeCharge users.
